About Dr. Bertolucci

It’s the mission of Alessandra Bertolucci, MD, of Associated Eye Physicians, to provide her patients with state-of-the-art vision care and effective treatments that best fit their lifestyle. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Bertolucci is highly qualified to provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages in Clifton and Elizabeth, New Jersey, as well as across northern New Jersey.

Dr. Bertolucci began her medical career when she graduated with the highest honors from the Medical School of the University of Pisa, Italy. From there, she came to New York City to complete her residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, also in New York City.

Today, Dr. Bertolucci still practices at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary as the director of the Lab of Electrophysiology of Vision, where she works weekly in the Retina Center as an attending physician. In this role, she cares for patients and teaches resident doctors. Dr. Bertolucci is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at New York Medical College, in Valhalla, New York.

As a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists, Dr. Bertolucci has been providing the highest standard of eye care for patients in a compassionate environment at Associated Eye Physicians since 2002.
